Noble Lloyd Noble jacked-up at Mariner A

The world champion jack-up airgap!

10 August 2017

Noble Lloyd Noble is one of the world’s largest jack-up drilling rigs, built in 2016 by Sembcorp Marine Rigs & Floaters. The rig started operations at the Statoil owned Mariner field last November. After the installation of the massive topside this summer the rig is utilizing almost all of its 214 meters of legs to be able to continue the drilling campaign.

The rig is based on the CJ70 CAT J design. A design tailor made by GustoMSC to Statoil’s needs, to more efficiently develop their shallow water assets. The rig is a state of the art hi-tech drilling machine, implementing the latest standards of offshore engineering.

The Noble Corporation-owned jack-up rig Noble Lloyd Noble is operating at Statoil’s Mariner field in the North Sea on 90 nautical miles east off Shetland, UK.
