The success story of the GustoMSC P10,000 drillship continues! Houston based drilling contractor Noble Drilling has ordered two GustoMSC P10,000 drillships from South-Korean shipyard Hyundai Heavy Industries.

At the very early start of this year US drilling contractor Diamond Offshore already ordered a P10,000 with an option for a second one and this week both Noble and HHI announced the contract for the delivery of two GustoMSC P10,000 drillships with an option for two additional units. In total Noble will spend US$ 1.03 billion for these ultra deepwater drilling rigs, which are scheduled for delivery second and fourth quarter 2013.
HHI (Hyundai Heavy Industries) is the biggest shipbuilder in the world. Apart from the newly contracted vessels, HHI has delivered already one ship at the end of last year and has two more GustoMSC P10,000s under construction; bringing the total amount of orders to six firm and three options now.
